When Marcelle Met Maya is an early short-form sitcom project that reflects a longstanding interest in culturally grounded storytelling and character-driven comedy. Created during an earlier stage of development, it remains a meaningful piece within the company’s creative foundation.

Featured guests are Chantelle Branch, author of the newly-released book, Decisions; Ruby Elaine Taylor, Executive Director of Taproots, Inc., which sponsors Colored Girls Are Cover Girls; and former Cover Girls, Tierra Clark and Matrice Young. There is a special tribute to poet and activist, Mama Brenda Matthews.
